Rocks had to buckle down and get back to work. She had plans for the clinic. After a busy social and lucrative weekend she had a meeting to schedule with Vince about getting her US colleagues to bring patients down from the states. Obamacare was getting going full swing and Americans were very unhappy! They were waiting months for elective surgery and their premiums were escalating, their doctors were retiring and moving south. She had several friends that wanted to schedule cases and bring their business to her. She had a stellar reputation and could keep patients on the table. She was anxious to bring her business plan to Fire Island Clinic. She had a couple of requirements and a commission that would bring her power and wealth as long as her colleagues signed on. Despite her Cardiology Clearance Guidelines, Walter had a patient for a hip that her brought in who wasn’t clear. Rocks couldn’t safely do her on the day she was scheduled, and a nasty discussion ensued. Walter had a hissy fit and took her to the hospital. The patient had an event and went to the ICU and had a heart attack. Vince had Walter behind closed doors for a couple of days to document the case. Rocks disliked island politics more and more.
Personally she was more and more conflicted about her heart, after Luke returned from his pleasurable business trip. The second she looked in his eyes she saw red. Immediately she knew there had been an situation and decided not to ask. Luke knew she knew, and decided things would never be the same. It made him sad, and made her mad. It made Jet unsettled.
